Reciept notice
My lawyer sent my Vawa application with I-485, combo (concurrent filing ) since September. However, I am yet to get my receipt notice. I don’t know if this is normal, and I’m starting to think that my documents weren’t sent.
she keeps telling me that it’s normal for vawa cases.
I need help so bad right now because this is stressing me out. Anyone with similar experience?

@shu C I sent mine Nov 30th and received the receipt notice today

receipt notices take anywhere from 6-9 weeks these days

@tired from waiting I’m aware that the vawa process itself can be stressful but never thought it will take this long to get the receipt

track your money order status. find out if it was cashed or not. if it’s cashed then at least you’ll know that they received and processed your case

I filed in sep 2023 and I got my receipts in less than 2 weeks
