@Gina 😄😄😅😅🤣🤣or how about let's share it, 5 years each
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
I'm just scared and worried this can be caught up and the consequences can be serious for me.
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
I'm serious guys

Olayinka SSep 17, 2022
@Omar they issued it to you, it's on them not you, that being said...enjoy your 10 years of uninterrupted residency/travels
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
they said if your marriage is less than two years old you receive CR1 and a conditional green card. This is my case but received IR1 and 10 year green card. This is the best I'm looking for but I'm worried and scared that's why I'm asking.

I think u should better call to any lawyer and ask😀but in my opinion should be ok, if they sent it to u
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@olayinka 😂 logically speaking. honestly I didn't do anything wrong. thank you.

if you are really that scared then try and contact an immigration lawyer and ask if there will be any side effect🤷🏼‍♀️

I didnt understand your question? why you are worried? how did u come to USA then?
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@milky way I thought about that too.
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@AB legally. I was in the USA and got married on August 17 2020. I left and went home and started the process with my wife. I received my IR1 VISA on June 2 2022 which was less than two years old of marriage. I entered the USA on June 28 2022 just a month away from being fully two years married. I received a 10 year green card. so, normally I shouldn't have received IR1 at first place and also not a 10 year GC but instead a conditional two year green card.
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@olayinka 😂 I know. I just don't wanna lose this.
O
Olayinka SSep 17, 2022
that explains why yiu got the 10 years then cos you came back in with an immigrant visa

August 17 2020 to September 2022 is more than 2 years
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@kk I received the IR1 visa on June 2 2022 and entered the USA on June 28 2022 it wasn't two years yet.

I'm sorry to tell you what's on everyone's mind, you're either gloating or trying so hard to appear as if you're not showing off but playing silly. You can contact a Lawyer if you think getting a green card is serious, given that you have been admitted to the US to get!!! I really don't understand the goal of the post 😃
J RSep 17, 2022
Your greencard would have been processed after your 2 year anniversary. Your visa and when you entered the US most likely doesn't have anything to do with it. When you recieved your greencard you have been married for more than 2 years
Omar DoumbiaSep 17, 2022
@JR yes this is true though when I received it it was already two years.

Even when you recieived it you were married for two years but I think the green card start date matters not printing date. I have seen a post here in lawfully where a person received 10 years GC while he was not married for 10 years, he applied for citizenship in last years of his green card and at the interview he was told you never removed the condition on your green card and he was in a big trouble. you better contact USCIS ALand keep the record incase you need it in future.

correction to the above the guy didn’t complete 2 years of his marriage when he approved/received the 10 years GC
the blessedSep 18, 2022
i would recomend you cintacting them to double check
BAYANO PARKERSep 18, 2022
@Abdul you correct about that... @Omar They might give you the 10 years by mistake but you will be in big trouble when applying for Naturalization because if they realized the mistake and you don't give them a proper answer- even though they will asked you why you knew it was a mistake and you didn't send it back?- They might take your green card and deny your case... the best thing is to contact them and make sure you both are on the same page

if i were you I would just submit removal of conditional When it’s time and forget about it and keep using the 10 years green card.

@Omar Doumbia, what’s the “PR since” date stated on your IR6 green card? If before Aug 17th, 2022, two-year anniversary of your marriage, you need this fixed either now, or you should still submit an I-751 petition when due with a cover letter explaining USCIS’s error when issuing your green card. Abdul Karim Omar, Bayano Parker, and Mo Ta, are offering you solid advice here.
Waiting DudeSep 18, 2022
Return it! you will have issues during naturalization.

I know someone with similar situation got 10 year green card and when he applied for citizenship they did not approve yet it has been almost 2 years now and he still did not get his citizenship. so it is better to rectify it now or atleast have something in writing with the uscis that they know you are given a 10 year green card.

my advice is to fixed it now. because if you go for your citizenship they going to denial it because trust me they have everything on their system. it better to be safe than sorry . good luck . or get a good lawyer to fixed it for you

@k k and @U r e na, how does an interview waiver, whether Omar got one or not, affect their dilemma? Is it relevant? What’s your theory here?

you need to let USCIS know of this error . this will give you BIG problems later on
Omar DoumbiaSep 18, 2022
thank you everyone for your answers. I'm just going to keep the card and file for removal in two years. I don't think it will hurt.
