receipt notice
it’s been 4 and a half months since I sent the vawa case. I haven’t received any receipt notice. when I check the USPS tracking number it says it was delivered to the PO Box on April 17th. what do you think I should do. my lawyer says if we don’t receive a receipt notice in 5 months in total we should send the documents again. what do you think I should do ?

your lawyer should have received the receipt also. they can reach out & get it for you. They should be able to email it

My lawyer doesn't know what to do, he says we can't see anything until the receipt notice comes and in the meantime they haven't withdrawn the fee from my bank account.

@hary hary same thing happened to me but I got a receipt notice for i360 and filed i485 and i765 separately and no receipt notice till now since may. when did you file!

check the money order to see if it has been cashed, also ur lawyer can write them since it’s stated that after 30 days without notice u can reach out to them

@hary hary hi Harry, I would definitely try to contact the Nebraska Center. mine took 6 weeks. this might sound like a dumb question, but did you make sure to send it to Nebraska instead of the Vernmont service center?

@Dee Dee ensure you include the fee waiver form in the initial package or they are gonna send the whole package back to you with a blue form requesting payment

I sent on April 17, case received date July 21, money order cashed September 7, I got receipt notice September 21
