hello family, has anyone with EAD applied for Real ID in either NY or another state?

yes. I did in 2023 with my EAD. it took like 6 weeks for them to verify immigration and send my drivers license but I got an 8 year drivers license/Real ID. in North Carolina. New York is the same if not easier. @Je men

Yeah, U can apply for Real ID with work authorization.

@Je men not in NYC I tried to get my real ID using my EAD and they told me I needed a green card.

@Je men some states allow you to apply for it using your EAD for example Fl however I heard that it goes by the life span of your EAD.

we are in PA and my husband got his real Id with the work auth card. took like a week to arrive
