Hi, If you mean the initial immigration visa package, then you're out of luck. They do initial screening in the US based on documents in this package upon entry. I would contact your issuing embassy immediately and explain the situation.

BTW, how long did it take to get your IR1 after it got accepted at your nvc?

thaks for you reply! no its not a package! its an actuall visa. printed on my passport with this line at the end. the office the airport upont my initial entry confirmed my identity and stamped the passport with an entry stamp

Oh I see. Then you mean it's just the green card mail lost in the US. You should be fine, the visa permits travel. I would just ask someone at uscis for example or using Emma chat on uscis (tell the bot you need a live representative) to make sure reentry is allowed, I'm pretty sure it is.

you r right! r eentry is allowed but the visa itself was valid for only 6 months. to make my first entry. and i did. then visa expired Jan15. with this line at the buttom i was hoping I can re enter using the same visa and entry stamp of my initial entry serving as temp green card for 1 year

anyways; i will check with Emma but they are not always very helpful

one thing for sure if your green card was issued you can always apply for re entry permit at the embassy
