Hi guys! I started my process when my husband was a green card holder in 2021. I submitted ONLY my I130 form since that was the process I know a lot of you are going to ask way I just sent the I130 but is a long story… anyway, after they approved my i130 (almost a year an a half later) it took me 3 months to get everything together for my i485, when I was about to send the form, the visa bulletin that I need was no longer current .
I cried a lot. My husband became a citizen and 5 months ago I sent in my i485 and I'm still waiting. Is there anyone else with a case similar to mine? In conclusion, I have already approved the i130 and I am only waiting for the i485.

Did you speak to a lawyer? My GC holder husband applied the 130 for me in may 2022, and I applied my 485 in Nov 2023 and it got accepted because it's considered as filed together even tho it wasn't send together. I even got my EAD. That's possible because the visa bulletin for may 2022 was current.

I sent the i130 March 2022 and then the i485 when my husband became citizen and I still don’t have any answer on any of them. just the work permit and no news about the application!

@Gabrielle C I did! I’m actually doing everything with a lawyer. she just said I need to wait. I just hope that since my i130 is already approved my i485 will be approve soon! congrats on you GC, yes, my problem was that when I was ready to send it it wasn’t current anymore.

I swear it makes no sense but you could be approved in a month or a year and nobody would know why. wishing you a speedy approval
