question
Do you think that the arrival of the president will affect VAWA cases because I have seen that he is withdrawing many programs, for example he started with the humanitarian parole?

@Sai god I'm reading the news, I don't know if they're sensationalist, that he's paralyzing everything, he even wants to paralyze the TPS, I don't know what will happen to us, and the lawyers still don't know anything.

Vawa is a law. it will take long time before he can do something to it. if he wanted to. i believe he will make every process take longer. 😩 i have not heard him saying anything about vawa. but who knows.

i believe that he can't affect the existing cases , only making then harder to prove which is not a bad think as abused people like me awaiting the hundreds of thousands who abused the legal system ,and especially men.

he can’t affect the process that already exist, but they can change the rules for the future process.

If he's making a law against the 14th amendment (birthright citizenship) he can do anything 🥲
And with so many VAWA cases that are not honestly filed i don't know, the processing time is getting higher because of cases like that, and all of us having a legitimate VAWA claim are suffering because of it.

Vawa is very hard to mess with since it’s a humanitarian basis and is backed by congress, the worst he can do is delay the process but cannot withdraw it all together even asylum cases he can only select a few countries to ban but cannot scrap the entire program. His administration will get sued and it might not get resolved until his term is over.

@Yana Yana he can try but that has to go through not just him but the legislative process to get that turned back. and as you can see by the time he was done with his speech 14 states had already sued him
