Question #College #Federal Aide
So I just got accepted in one of the top 10 school in the Country for IT. Classes starts next week.. and I applied for FAFSA and was denied. Yes I did receive my work permit and Social but my Financial Aid advisor told me that Homeland Security has not cleared me as a legal non resident yet! I am so broken and confused because I do not want to get caught up with a crazy expensive student loan payment! I really need help. Has anyone applied for financial aid and through what method? I am tired mentally and emotionally!

@haj 97 Yes. Many people have gotten FAFSA with Prima facie. I don't know about your school though.

mostly they will deny your Prima Facie if you end up with someone that don’t know what is it , with it they used to give Covid grants only.
so you have to explain it to them if they deny you the FASFA base on PF.
the only way to get FASFA for you, if your vawa got approved to submi your I-360 to them.
i suggest you try to pay out of your pocket in county which is the lowest you can get if you been living in the county for 6months atleast I think , in some states 3months.

C FOX waits on you Social the system is very prejudiced towards that. yes I got only one Prima Facie and didn’t get another after I got my social. @God is my lawyer was you Prima Facie updated or just your social because my school keeps telling me they haven’t cleared me yet

@shari Mc how did you apply for fafsa. I got my ss from previous work visa. Im applying for fafsa but they want A number also date of approval for status which is pending so what can I put? my A number and then what date ? in order to move to the next step

ask your financial aide advisor they will direct you… most times it’s the A number … that pulls up all your information.
