Question about RFE
Hi all,
I recently got notice that USCIS sent a RFE for my civil surgeon exam. However, I am currently in Ohio visiting family. My case is based in NY. I’ve been told that the Form I693 can be completed anywhere and does not have to be completed in the same state where your case is based. Is this true? I have a lot of anxiety over this because it seems like I’m nearing the finish line and I do not want to mess anything up. If it’s better to do the I693 in the same state as where the case is based, I will pack up and go home tomorrow, I do not want to risk anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and I wish all of you the best in your journey 🙏🏼 May God help you all

@Dori G You can get it done from any state. But if the civil surgeon in Ohio makes any mistake in the form, Uscis will send another rfe. So better to get it done from nearby doctors where you live. OR if the deadline is near, you can get it done from Ohio.

@Dori G Yes. Because immigration is a matter of federal law, you can get your Form I-693 completed by any USCIS-authorized civil surgeon in the United States, regardless of which state you live in or where your application is filed.
