hello, can you share your timeline? also EAD helps you to travel as well. I would suggest you to confirm with USCIS if you can travel using this card.

@ s k, I have filled I 131 for my wife along with I 765 and I 485. you can feel I 131 after. submit your payment recipient along with your form so your I 131 fee will get waived. the average approval time for I 131 is 5 to 7 month.

my assumption is since I didn’t file form 131, I will not be receiving a combo card?? my reciept date was April 21st and pd was Nov 2020.

@ S k is this your first EAD.? have you ever had EAD in past. through STEM OPT.?

I did have a stem EAD before

I filed my i-131 after my i485 and i765 and it was approved in 4 months

oh wow. would you mind sharing what docs did yoy include with the application and also if it was marriage or employment based?

@s k same for me I have stem EAD but I applied for GC EAD as well and I did not get any updates not even for Advance parole

your application is marraige based ? citizen filing or permanent resident filing for spouse?

if you never filed for a travel document then your work permit will state on it that it’s not valid for reentry . so there for you can not travel on the permit alone . try to apply for your travel documents send a copy of your pending 485 so it can go faster just in case you haven’t received a interview date as yet .

@sk my case is family based but not marriage. I included my i485 receipt notice along with passport size photos and a cover letter. I think that’s all I submitted. it’s a fairly easy application with not much requirements since it’s based on the underlying i485.
