hello! my husband (us citizen) received the I-797 Notice Of Action. he’s thinking if he must file a form for me a form I-824 an Application for Action on an approved petition? and how about the I-485? can anyone explain to me? I’m outside US. thank youuuu

my form I-130 got approved last February 06, 2024… my PD is March 03, 2023

if you’re outside then you’re next step is they’re going to send your papers to NVC. You have to wait to be DQ. NVC will then send your paper to US embassy in your country. Once the embassy received your paper. they will set a schedule for your interview. I-485 if you are inside the US

unfortunately you will have to fill out the I-824 form. this adds on an additional year on your wait time.
