Processing time is a joke
If people PD June 2021 and earlier get approved in 2025 and the later gets approved in 2026. So basically we get 5 year processing time? That is even slower than a turtle walking. That doesn’t make any sense to be slow. I remember by December 2022, there are about 8-9k I-140 cases waiting for decision. If they issue about 9k cases in 2023 and about 8-9k in 2024. They should make it to even late 2021 or early 2022. USCIS is shitty about issuing our legal cases while some consulate cases in Vietnam get Green Card in 2-3 years. While a lot of us are single or no dependent, they wait for what and issuing cases that have many dependents from Vietnam, most Vietnamese family I know at my work are 3-4 dependent. This category should not be backlogs for so long, it’s been 2 years backlogs and they don’t move even more than a year. Shitty processing and shitty system.

Just A Cat Waiting For GCMay 13, 2024
I see you posted a lot and I do understand how you are feeling. I'm a 2021 filer too so believe me I know how frustrating it has been and how unfair it is to see others filling in 2022 getting greencards before us. But trust me man, I do think that you really need to work on your well-being. Ranting here won't change a thing since it's USCIS's call, not ours to take control of. If you cannot control it, then what's the point of hurting your own feelings and mental health? I used to be like that until I realized that I cannot do anything to change the way they work.
I cannot help you and things will sound cliche but I just have 1 advice: Try to find things you can control in your life and put your best efforts in it. Studying (onine courses to keep you busy and prepare for when you got your card, going to gym to get better shape, learning new languages like Spanish, preparing for job market in the future if you need more skills...). There are just so many things if you can utilize this time. Try not to think about this because no matter what you do, it is out of your control. When you focus on improving yourself, you will see yourself in a much better position and when the time comes, you will be ready for professional job market.
If you want to make more money, find a 2nd job. If you don't like your workplace, you can port to a new one if you can. If you want them to hear you, submit a complaint to USCIS or ask your local congressman to say it on your behalf. We can only do what we can on what we can control, rather than being angry and suffering on your own or on Lawfully.
My best wishes to all of us!

@Andy D I’m not the one who wish to do this category shit, it’s my parents encourage me to do. I am halfway through my dream degree and suddenly my parents told me to do this job shit. Also, my entire relatives are top tier college student, me as well but I gave up it for this shitty category. I was doing so well in school and suddenly this shit hitting me the hardest. I hate my parents for making me work like a slave with no future. Some kids look down on me and I feel so stressful about this.

same as @Andy D said. it is out our control. My PD is 2020 and still waiting, it sucks the wait. For the future will be almost 5 years that is why EAD and AP are valid for 5 years instead of 2. Take this time to concentrate in your studies, reduce your work hours and go complete your degree. Whenever you complete it then you will already have your GC or close to it. I wish I had a path for my GC when I graduated. i spent more than 7 years between visas until I started this process. Just keep in mind you are ahead of other international students that want to stay in the US.

@jc jc I can’t go to school now

@T N, I understand you so much. I’m in the PhD program and had to take a leave of absence last year to work till now. I am stuck like you and can not return to finish my degree until I get a green card. My friends and students asked me many questions about why and what happened. Haha, God knows. Please be patient and stay calm.

@tom tran I think you are almost there since you wait there since November is pretty in line. Late 2021 are the worst cases to ever happen

You’re the most negative person I’ve ever seen. Why the hell you have to care bout your relatives? Do they feed you? do they give you the love like your loved ones? Stop whining and focus on you and your loved ones. Don’t give a f to others. This is a test from God, you need to remember that lots of people don’t even have the opportunities to enter the US and lucky enough to get the green cards through this category. Be grateful for what you’re having right now. and be careful God will take everything out from you if you asking too much.

@yellow banana 🍌 yeah grateful is good but just don’t wait too long for that, all of my relatives are toxic af and they do all the disrespected thing to me. You guys would be the same like me if you ever have to encounter them. They treat my parents like stupid losers and me as well. I want to get out of this shit.
