if you are a resident and are petitioning for your wife it will take some years for your I-130 to get approved. the estimated time that appears in your “my progress” is not trusthworthy, it will keep changing the wait time (up and down). where you can check how long it will take is by looking for the “visa bulletin” of the month. As residents only a fix amout of visas are available per year and not enough for everyone to get one, so it takes longer for them to find one available for you

100% cause as a citizen it is YOUR RIGHT to have your family together, and because of that there is an unlimited amout of visas available for you to bring them together. you will have to inform them the change into the IR1/CR1 category once you get your citizenship
