Processing center for receipt number starts from IOE
My case’s priority date is 28th january, 2020 and my receipt number’s first three letters are IOE. What could be my case’s processing center ? My lawyer says that Potomat service center is processing my case. But I had chat with live agent on emma and the agent said that my processing center is California service center. I got bit confused now☹️.

processing center should have been on your receipt notice (same where you received IOE case number). but sometimes offices can send cases to another office so maybe your case have been moved to California service center.

Yes in receipt it is California service center but lawyer said as we filed electronically, our case will be processed in potomac service center.

I have paper filled case also with IOE and it's in Nebraska, I don't think they give IOE only to electronically filled cases, so if agent on emma also confimed that your case is in California, most likely it's there🤔

R L - you're right. IOE is electronic filing/processing. USCIS scans the paperwork at the drop box and sends them electronically to the service they think best/appropriate to process that case. that's how we receive IOE receipt numbers.
