priority date
So, if my priority date (date when USCIS received my case right?) is September 17, 2021, when is it expected to become current. I’ve always have a hard time understanding that.
September 17, 2021, USCIS received my case
October 22, 2021, I did my biometrics
October 23, 2021, got a notice that said, “case is actively being reviewed by USCIS” for my I-485 and I-765, but my I-130 still says “case was received and a notice was sent”.

yea your pd is when they received it it still confuses me to because i was counting from the days they update it i dint know you count from the pd date thats how a agent explained it to me
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
thanks. so when does it become current? or how does it works?
Mik MJan 18, 2022
I130 status won't change until interview has scheduled or they need RFE from you.
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
its current from the day they receive your case and then you just follow the processing times on the uscis website to see how many months it would take your case to process for example mine is nbc im just trying my best to help
Mik MJan 18, 2022
For i485, 'actively reviewing' just means your fingerprint has been taken.
Mik MJan 18, 2022
it's confusing but it just how the new IOE system works
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
thanks. also. after telling me they are reviewing the case (almost 90 days ago) they also said this: Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time.
We will let you know if we need anything from you. which at this point do you think they still send an rfe after almost 3 months?
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
thanks for the answer. yeah me too I’m NBC. so at this point is literally just waiting for almost 2 years on the longest right?
Mik MJan 18, 2022
if it's a marriage based case, its mean your documents has passed all checks in the national benefit center and will be handled by your local field office.
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
thanks, yeah it’s marriage based. so just wait now I guess. it was going so fast in my mind, when we got the biometrics just 1 month after we started the process but now I it just stalled. thanks for all the answers
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
lol not 2 years but ive been waiting for 7 months now @amaury carcamo
Mik MJan 18, 2022
Unfortunately EAD/combo is handled by different offices, meaning your local field office can schedule your interview either before the EAD/combo processed or not.
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
yeah. well that’s what I’ve heard that Can take anywhere from 11.5 months to 2.5 years haha. but is weird. my brother went thought the exact same process and it took 10months even after an rfe. another friend was 8months, all this before covid though. so I don’t know.
Mik MJan 18, 2022
Local field office don't care if you have got your EAD/combo or not when process your I485 case
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
oh ok thanks @mik m
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
man they were so lucky @amaury even with covid now its dragging
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
yeap. well. I guess we just gotta keep waiting then! good luck!
Mik MJan 18, 2022
btw, Los Angeles is the fastest local field office at this moment, a lot of cases got interview scheduled within 3~4 months after PD. Some Florida offices are also pretty efficient. Seattle is the worst, everyone need to wait longer than a year
amaury carcamoJan 18, 2022
mine was IOE, NBC, and I’m in Tennessee
Lorin KellJan 18, 2022
@amaury carcamo my case is also marriage based . I filed my i-130 online in August 21 and the rest of the AOS packet in October. my i-130 has not updated either , it was at Nebraska and then transferred to Texas , I have the same status message as you and I have the same message about nothing outstanding at this time. I was also wondering if they will send an RFE ?
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
@lorin you can check in your uscis account i had got an rfe 4 months in
Lorin KellJan 18, 2022
@Im Destined for Greatness thank you I will check!
IM DESTINED FOR GREATNESSJan 18, 2022
you only get an rfe if they need more evidence i only got the rfe for submitting an old edition
Lorin KellJan 18, 2022
ok, thank you
