Priority date is current, but case status remains pending
I submitted my I-485 application more than 8 months back. Per June visa bulletin, my priority date (ROW) for EB1 is current. However, my case status has been updated to “Case Remains Pending. We are temporarily pausing work on your application because an immigrant visa number is not immediately available to you. Once an immigrant visa number becomes immediately available to you, we will resume processing of your application.” What does this mean? Should I expect a long delay in my green card processing?

your country might have hit the 7% quota for this fiscal year if you’re ROW. you can ask Emma and chat with a live agent.

@ti r What is SR? My apologies for the ignorance.

@Immigrant Worker Call USCIS tell infopass then you will be connected to live agent. explain them that your PD is current RoW but your case turned to pending. they might raise SR request and internally check and try to set it right. only for retrogressed cases , it would turn to pending.

I have heard from some lawyers that even if your PD is current, your case would still be pending if all the available visa number has been used up. I’m in the same situation but my date is not current lol
