Priority Date
For #vawa approved filers that didn't file concurrently with 1-485; what priority date is used once the i-485 is submitted? The new receipt date or does immigration use the i-360 priority date? #vawa #1-485. Priority date was left blank of the receipt notice sent. If anyone has the same experience, I will appreciate your feedback.

okay I really have the same question.
there’s no priority date for self ptetioners to US citizens.
my I-360 approval priority date is Dec 2017.
got approved Sep 2022.
and I did submit my I-485 on January 2023.
so I really have the same question.

but I do know the process for the GC change take anywhere around 6 months to a year.

@ red dead, yeah, my lawyer said it'll take about the time. Just wondering when to start counting from.

@ red dead, I applied in February. Was your case transferred to Vermont too? Mine was transferred "in order to speed up the process"...so lets see what speed I see from this transfer:-)

@ uscislin linuscis; my vawa had a receipt date; the I-485 didn't have one, but it doesn't matter; the case is from when I-360 was filed/received. The I-485 form has a section that ask about underlying petition if any, that's the date you're calculated from. If your I-360 is not showing a receipt date, I suggest you talk to your lawyer if you have one.
