previous marriage
hey everyone, my wife and I just realised she forgot to submit her divorce papers from her previous marriage when she filed the i130 and i130a while I was in Australia, does this matter? what should we do? I only thought we need them for the actual interview in my home country

any missing document you could upload to yr on -line account @ USCIS . The file name usually I like to amend it with a good description for that file , easier for the officer to notice it . eg. divorce paper , family pic, birth cert.

okay I’ll let her know to upload it tomorrow, I don’t think we want a RFE this close

it absolutely matters you will receive an RFE if not submitted

@Jacob Needham did your spouse mention her previous spouse in the I-130 part 4 question #17-#24.
if she did not mention USCIS views this mistake as misrepresenting and can lead to serious consequences so please check your answer on both the I-130 and I-130A.

@kalid jamma she did mention it yes we just couldn’t remember if she actually submitted the papers or not but it’s all been fixed now
