@Sania Lym did you get any updates other than “Case is being actively reviewed “?is it 1st actively reviewed? my was filed on July 11th and since August 9th case been actively reviewed upto now . I don’t know how people are doing biometrics and ref?specially people who have filed there case after us like Nov or Dec, when do we get that?
S RApr 6, 2024
@Epris Richardson sorry didn’t quite get you.
Sania LymApr 6, 2024
@r s Hello, my case was in Nebraska and after applying for k3 I went to Potomac.
I applied on July 15th/23, and on August 20th/23 it was actively reviewed until December when the time went to zero.
Now in March, the time has changed again to 2 months, and so on.
I haven't seen many approvals from Potomac, they usually approve within 12 to 14 months.
It's still processing March while the others are well advanced.
What we can do is just wait and hope that we are approved within 11 to 12 months.

@r s A standalone i-130 is when you file an i-130 and nothing else. Is your spouse living in the US (adjustment of status) or in another country (consulate)? If they're living in another country, you won't hear anything back unless you get an RFE or approval which is about a year from your priority date. I was attempting to address the last part of you statement in your post.
S RApr 7, 2024
@Epris Richardson oh thank you for the info, my spouse is in another country. I see lot of people has few steps after filing I-130. but it’s almost 9 month and for me so far the case is just been actively reviewed . like you mentioned, I guess I’ll just wait. thank you so much again for the response.
S RApr 7, 2024
@Sania Lym I guess, hope we hear soon. 🤞
Sania LymApr 7, 2024
@r s Amen 🥰
Pri RApr 7, 2024
@r s You're likely seeing AOS (adjustment of status) cases. You'll want to follow the process of Consulate. Your spouse will do medicals, biometrics, etc at the NVC. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
S RApr 11, 2024
@Epris Richardson thank you, I checked it but I don’t know how to follow through this. it shows of current year “Current case creation time frame: As of 9-Apr-24, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 1-Apr-24” how to check status of last year.. 🥲
Pri RApr 11, 2024
@r s Wrong link, sorry. I meant to send you the process so you can see what step medicals and stuff like that is at. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
Pri RApr 11, 2024
@r s What do you mean how to check the status of last year? For USCIS?
S RApr 11, 2024
@Epris Richardson oh! I mean I only see status been checked from example, April 8 2024 working on Ap 24th 2024. not like from last year been update! you know what I mean?
Pri RApr 11, 2024
@r s No, I'm still not quite understanding what you're looking to see. What I initially sent were timelines for NVC. USCIS doesn't have detailed timelines like that. They have general processing times that give you an idea of how long your case may take. Is that what you're looking for?
S RApr 11, 2024
ok but I gotchu! I was just saying, you know how they update they are seeing this case on this date! like reviewing
03/4/2023 case on 03/4/2024. And the website which you provided in the beginning has that kind of information. which was only saying we are now reviewing case that we received in March/2/2024, on April/3/2024. but I didn’t see anything from last year.
S RApr 12, 2024
@Epris Richardson seems like I’m still at step 1 🥲
