Mine was for birth certificate. It was included in initial I-485 filing and it meets the document reciprocy agreement outlined on Department of State website. Lawyer responded to RFE submitting same document again. Radio silence for 11 months now! 🤷🏻‍♂️

they want to look like they are scrutinizing applications. so they frequently issue unnecessary RFEs for birth certificates

I got one with request to share evidence of my seniority level (emails to subordinates, managerial decision like hire/ fire, contracts budget and payment approvals etc.)

@Roi N did you do it through an attorney? i wasn't expecting an RFE could be such a pain in the neck. what was the outcome?

@Fez H Yes, I do have an attorney. This was for the I-140 that was already approved.

I had to address the three prongs more specifically. Ensure you clearly outline your endeavour and why it is significant. Make sure to show off your skills and what you have achieved. Talk about why it is in the best interest of the nation and back it up with evidence. I used articles from congress. https://www.congress.gov Good luck Fez!!

@ it was a small error in i485. i had missed a check mark

@Fez H mine is also a checkbox (permanent position) missing in 485j. filled up the updated form. hopefully lawyer will send it soon to them. Prayers for quick approval. 🙏🏽
