USCIS claim that they adjudicate the case in 45 business days for NIW cases. (dont confuse it with calendar days). I upgraded my application to PP and 43 business days are passed, still no action at all. They are saying that govt was shut down for whole October and thats why Oct business days will not be counted :(

May i ask who has written that premium processing days in October do not count due to the shutdown? My understanding was that USCIS is funded separately so unless your case needs to be checked by the department of labor they are continuing to process applications?

@C D i read that on some forums and some of my friends who are already in US told me. They say shut down does not means that its 100 % closed but the efficiency of the departement decreases due to many factors like contractors working at uscis are either laid off or their work hours are reduced to half. Overall the efficiency of every dept decreases. Though these are just words of mouth.

i got RFE on the start of 44 working day 😒

my application status is now changed to request for additional evidence was sent. I have not yet received the mail so dont know exactly what rfe is, i just only know that i have rfe.
