Hi everyone, I have a pending VAWA (I-360) and Adjustment of Status (I-485) case, and I already have a valid EAD under category C09.
I’m thinking about applying for Advance Parole (Form I-131) to visit my elderly parents in Vietnam.
Has anyone here with a pending VAWA case successfully traveled outside the U.S. with Advance Parole and returned safely?
Please share your experience if you have. I really appreciate it. 🙏💗

Hi, yes I did in 2024. Left and came back safely. when coming back in they took me to a room for secondary inspection but all they did was checked my advance parole and passport and told me I can go.
I don’t know if anything has changed since then but you should be fine.

hii! I’ve traveled 3 times this year with advance parole, I didn’t have any problems. each time they took me to secondary inspection and just stamped my passport, which they always have to do whenever you’re entering with AP. usually on the first time you travel and come back, they ask you to confirm your address. I’ll be traveling again in December for the holidays. definitely apply and go visit your parents :)

I traveled February this year and returned im Match with my AP. No issues. You should be fine

@T N yes, 2025. Some lawyers put so much fear into the clients. But I guess it's because of the things they've witnessed on the job. Anyway, if you've had a run-in with the law, then you should listen to them.
