It went pretty smooth! She asked me some Yes/No questions and then some of the information in my I-485. Ex-partner’s name, DOB, Marriage date etc. Then she tried to ask about my VAWA. I told her that my lawyer says the case is closed nd I should not discuss it without her(my lawyer). Then the officer says… “I am not trying to bring up any negative emotion, I am just trying to ask a few things before we send your green card”. So she asked me some question about where we lived and the issues we had. I tried to answer without giving too much detail.
I had a prior I-485 interview. she started reading some notes from it and then says she “can’t make a decision and that my file has to be reviewed”. she also asked me to bring a copy my approved J1 and submit to the front desk (which I did) and that was it. Nothing since then and my status on USCIS hasn’t updated from “Case ready to be scheduled for interview”.
