passport validity for immigrant visa ??
Hello guys, I got my visa , and my visa is immigrant visa, I already booked my flight but I heard our passport should be 6 month valid, but mine is 5month and 26 days … only 4 days away Does that have problem on my flight day ? Should I be worried please share …. Thanks in advance 🙏🏽

you don’t have to be worried you can visit as long as it’s valid for over 3 month.

@Lolita lolita I believe your concern applies to the life of the passport in order to receive the visa which is 6 months validity. The life of the passport should be 6 months. So, no need to worry.

@Lolita lolita I know, I was just pointing out that your concern isn't a flight related one, but has everything to do with when getting the visa. You wouldn't get visa if the ppassport had less than 6 month on it. Just sharing

@niks o well this is true in my country since an immigrant visa is 6 month validity or the life of the medical which is also 6 months. it's written in our immigration instructions

@niks o What to bring to the Interview
The applicant is responsible to bring all required original or certified copy civil documents to the visa interview. Failure to bring all required documents to the interview may cause delay or denial of the visa. You must bring the following documents to the interview:
Appointment Letter – The interview appointment letter you received from NVC.
Passport – For each applicant, an unexpired passport valid for six months beyond the intended date of entry into the United States
Photographs – two identical color photograph(s) for each applicant, which must meet the general Photograph Requirements.

Supporting Documents – original or certified copies of all civil documents you uploaded into CEAC.
