AOS is not paused for the 75 countries. A lot of people got approved. This is wrong information. Only consular processing is effected.

that is wrong buddy, By law, VAWA adjustment applicants are legally exempt from the public charge ground of inadmissibility. Even if domestic policies changed, your status as an approved abuse survivor shields you from this financial test.

I see a lot of talk online about the midterms and the switch of the house (which happens 90% of the time) and if the Democrats take the house this November, that we’ll start seeing good movement for the next 2 years possibly. I’m not sure how true that is & if it’ll have any bearing on the 2028 elections

@jj jj please when did you get your ead applied for mine got 5 yrs usps misplaced it applied again over one year no response don't once if I will get 5 or 2

@Highly favored blessed no reapplication needed in your case, submit a non-delivery service request. Call the uscis customer service # & tell them what happened and that you’d like to submit a nondelivery service request

But really could this ban last till the end of this tenure? That will really be a long thing for those of us from these banned countries. My congressman made inquiry about my case and was told it’s paused cos I’m from a banned country. I thank God I have my 5years EAD/AP

@F A they told me the same! My congressman said that’s what uscis have been telling their constituents that it’s paused for those from the banned countries.

@Ann Y my congressman told me it’s paused. if you read the comments section I’m not the only one that was told this by our congressman unless they are lying

@Ann Y cases in the US have been paused for countries whose nationals have been reliant on public charge benefits. that’s the one affecting those here in the US & is separate from the policy for those outside the US doing consular processing

My attorney told me that VAWA does not fall under those criteria because it is a humanitarian visa. Therefore, it is not affected by these new regulations.

I believe it affect every application in those 75 countries. I have been waiting for approval of my I-485 since October 15 2025 interview. Good luck to everyone waiting like me
