Parents’ I-485 got approved today! Houston based.
I couldn’t be happier for my parents. I am extremely thankful their cases got approved so quickly. They didn’t require an interview either. Let me know if you have any questions. I filed their paperwork myself! :) 🎉🎉🇺🇸

@gigi wright what questions were you asked ?
MariH GRApr 16, 2024
Congratulations! Was the RFE for the medical examination?
Marian BApr 16, 2024
@MariH GR Hi! We submitted the medical examination along with the initial forms. I made a mistake while filling out form I-485, so they just requested we resubmitted that form with the correct info.
Potomac Oct 2020Apr 19, 2024
@Marian B congratulations!!! what mistake did you do if you don’t mind me asking ?
Potomac Oct 2020Apr 19, 2024
@Marian B and did you parents both have got the same timeline ? thank you
gigi wrightApr 19, 2024
@sparta worl they asked me from the I-485. my name , d.o.b, how I entered and if I committed any fraud. that’s all
Marian BApr 20, 2024
@Potomac Oct 2020 we failed to answer the Public Charge inadmissibility questions. We indicated that my parents were not subject to the public charge ground of inadmissibility under INA 212(a)(4) when answering Part 8., Item
Number 61. But the answer was actually yes. So we just answered that section as well.
And we submitted my mom’s forms about a month before my dad’s because it took longer for him to get the medical examination. However, they were both approved at the same time.

Marian BApr 23, 2024
@gigi wright thank you so much your input. We arrived on a diplomatic visa and I had to submit additional forms to adjust my and my parents’ status. That’s the reason why I believed they would be called for an interview.
sparta worlApr 24, 2024
did they asked your parents who file for you as the petitioner and who were you married to ?
sparta worlApr 24, 2024
@ Marian B did they asked your parents who filed for you as the petitioner and were you married and who were you married to ?

Marian BJun 24, 2024
@sparta worl sorry for the late reply. They did ask my marital status but they didn’t ask who filed for me.
