how long did you wait to called them for case number?? I’m waiting for case number too🥺🥺 it has been 17 days and I got nothing yet…

what was the RFE?

@menuka i waited 4 weeks. it's gonna be 8 wks on March 3, so hopefully I get a letter by then. online it did give it 4-8 wks

@A N RFE was "request for evidence" other evidence i failed to send @ time application was sent...like pics of fiance & I...letters from people that verify our relationship.

hi Kevin this is only based on my experience when I got approved on my k1, I called the us embassy in my country and they told me I just need the nvc case number to start the next step because nvc letter arrived late or super late. my fiancé that time called them and ask my nvc case number. I used that case number for the next step of the process like fill up my DS-160, pay for the visa fee and medical. my actual nvc letter arrived by mail days before my k1 visa interview.

@gen that's what I tried to call embassy & they were rude & didn't help me. They didn't answer my questions😢

@Kevin when I filed my K1 I made a huge mistake and mailed them photo album and they returned my photo album. do you think I will be getting a RFE to send in my and My fiance pictures to proof that we met in person or do you think boarding pass and hotel invoices will do the work. i am so stressed and confused 😐

@A N yes it is possible...i just sent foto copies not an album...they asked us for a lot of evidence & it took almost a year for them to look at our case😭Good luck!

omg, it makes me so nervous 😟 but I mailed the pictures again without album. do you think they might have put in my K1 packet or they would discard them?

I send them photo albums they didn’t return me… and also I didn’t got any RFE nothing

but in your case uscis don’t have any pictures to proof your relation so they might asked you.. or you can send them pictures now with letter saying you forgot or something. it’s better to do now then wait for end . if they ask for RFE then you have to wait more

yes I already did that as soon after I receive the album the returned I typed up the letter with pictures and mailed it to them. do you think they might have put my pictures in my K1 packet or they would discard them?

@ immi USA you are telling me that I have to wait for notification before I do anything else??

@Kevin, did you receive the NVC e-mail telling you that the NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate on your fiancee 's country?

@ Talyta, I haven't received letter but ai called & got case # to log in to CEAC & it says that case is @ NVC. A guy I talked to on NVC phone said that my case is waiting to be requested by Embassy in Mex

Mine is IN TRANSIT. Call the NVC (603) 334-0888 and ask them how long will you wait to get the e-mail.

@Talyta I've called 2 x & sent 2 inquiries....no answer to inquiries & no info from live agents. I even called embassy in Mexico & rude af.

@Talyta but do d you pay fees or fill out DS-160 before you were notified of in transit.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I know you have been fighting with this process for a long time. But, keep calling every week. It will work! You are almost there. #faith

@Talyta i want to know if you filled out DS-160 & paid fees B4 you case got transferred??? The NVC or embassy won't tell me anything....all I want to ask them was that & they refuse to answer me😭

I have already filled out the DS-160, but NVC recommended we wait for the status change to be READY before paying it. I'm from Brazil and next week I'll call the Consulate in Rio De Janeiro to ask them when my case will be READY to be processed.

I haven't paid any fees yet. All we did after getting the NOA2, was called every week to NVC and ask for news. In 2 weeks our case changed from AT NVC to IN TRANSIT.

hi Kevin. NVC since last few years has a new process. Once Uscis moves the case to NVC you need to do all these online - pay fees, submit all civil documents and affidavit of support. NVC will review all the documents online and if ok they will send a Documentarily Qualified email. At this stage - your application is ready to move to the foreign country Consulate and NVC waits for a allocation date

I received the Documentarily Qualified email from NVC after paying all fees etc. The email arrived in May 2021 and my case has been at NVC since then. Need to patiently wait. I tried contacting the US Consulate but they say that the case is still at NVC. when I contact NVC via their website - they respond after nearly a month with vague answers. Basically indicating that there are no slots open at the Consulate and I need to wait as I am in a queue due to COVID backlog One of my friends with priorty date of April 2019 got an interview date for his mom in Feb 2022 (this month). my priority date is Nov 2019 so I am expecting the Consular Interview later this year
