@Alexander Schnell I really don't know, we were assuming that it would take up to 45 days to receive a welcome letter. Definitely took me by surprise, the only thought is the USCIS realized I am a disabled Veteran and noted my account. Not sure to be honest

@Paula Franco The 2nd time I went to pay both fee's it was accepted in the system without any glitches. It's showing up on my bank statement as paid but still In Process with the NVC 😔 Hurry up and wait as usual. lol We went yesterday to get her Police Certificate and Fingerprinting done in Thailand but won't receive it back for 3 weeks 😔 Another delay.. Hahaha As soon as the system allows us, we'll start with the AOS which is ready and fill out most of the DS 260 while we wait, again.. How are things going with you guys ?? I'll keep you posted

They rejected my first payment, but the second one was fine. I uploaded everything and last night they asked me to upload my taxes and my husband's birth certificate again, hoping that they review it again and that it is okay. @Marcus Boeckel

@Paula Franco Hey, our DS 260 is now available to fill out and send but the AOS is still in progress, did this happen to you ? Also, we don't have her Police Certificate yet to submit the evidence, I guess we need to wait until we receive it before sending it in

Hi Marcus, Thank you for keeping us updated. I also got the email from NVC and made the payment. It is still showing as in process. How long does it take for the NVC to process the payment? and can we only start the process once the payment has been approved?

@Blessed 67 Mine finally went thru and was able to start filling my paperwork yesterday. I did send a message to the NVC a few days ago and showed my payments cleared my bank so maybe that worked. I've been reading a lot of people have been having the same issue.

Any updates? We were documetarily approved yesterday. Waiting for NVC to contact us for the interview in Bangkok.

@rb br Finally got back my wife's Police Certificate and having it translated to English. Damn they are slow here !! I 864 and DS 260 has been submitted already and this last piece will complete it all. Hopefully we both get our interviews quickly. Keep me posted on your progress

@Marcus Boeckel We were informed yesterday. My wife’s interview in Bangkok is Dec 18th.

@rb br that's awesome, you guys will do great. Keep me posted on how it goes. Still waiting on NVC to approve all our paperwork. I had to send in my tax forms again, not sure what happened to the first ones we send.

@rb br let me know how your interview goes, we have ours on January 3rd. We'll be in Bangkok on December 19th for her medical appointment

@Marcus Boeckel Interview got moved to Dec 20th. She had her medical last week. She had to get 5 vaccines. Price was around $800 USD

@Marcus Boeckel How long did it take to your interview date after submitting your NVC paperwork. Also, was the interview scheduled a month later or same month you received the notice?

@Blessed 67 So our paperwork was DQ on October 24th after we submitted early September. We are in Thailand so it took a while to get all the required documents translated into English. November 13th we received our interview date with the US Embassy and have that appointment for January 3rd. A lot of the the timeline just depends on which Embassy you are going through and how quickly things go but this is our timeline. Keep us posted on how things go for you

@Marcus Boeckel She was denied entry to the interview. They said she didn’t have my original divorce papers. Lawyer tried to say originals for the petitioner isn’t required. Shipped my divorce papers Fed-Ex ($120). New interview is Jan 23.

@rb br Oh wow, that is so wrong, can't believe they did that to you. Now I'm a bit concerned about my divorce paperwork from my past marriage if it's good enough, I mean it was enough to get married in Thailand and just like you, was DQ. @Marcus Boeckel They are requiring the original document. No copies, no scans. I had to Fed-Ex them for $120

@rb br So today is our interview, starts in 30 minutes. They let her check in early but will not let me in with her. They said the spouse does not attend which totally confused me. How do you give a marriage based green card without interviewing both parties? This just doesn't seem right

@Marcus Boeckel Usually interviews at the embassy will not allow the spouse or the lawyer in. Only an interpreter. Good luck to you both.

@Marcus Boeckel Her 2nd interview went very well and very quick. 5 basic questions about our relationship. She received her paperwork in 2 days. I will be going soon to pick her up. Best of luck to you.
