“Notice Returned to USCIS – Seeking Advice”
Hi everyone,
I recently received an update from USCIS stating:
“Notice was returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it.”
My case status also changed from “Case Received” to “Notice”
I have never changed my address with USCIS — my address has been the same since the beginning of the case.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Do you have any idea what type of notice it might be or what steps I should take next?
Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

We’re in the same boat. I submitted an e-request for redelivery, and today is day 32 with no updates yet. I haven’t changed my address since I submitted the application almost three years ago, so let’s see

@C S call the USCIS number, have your details and explain everything to them. I had similar issues with my daughter’s notice and thankfully the officer told me the content of the notice and I requested a copy and it was mailed

@r p the E-request takes time, talking from experience. my advice is call the contact centre and explain.

@Ebele damselI called them, but they said they don't have any information. They said they are able to see the request, but to wait until I get a receipt. To be honest, they don't know anything. We are calling and hoping they will help, but they are just an agency who answers calls, not the real USCIS.

@C S they may have omitted an apt number if you live in an apartment. sign up for informed delivery through the post office this way you’ll see anything scheduled to be delivered into your mail box then call the 1-800 USCIS number and have them email you a copy in addition to resending it through mail, confirm your address and if there’s an apt number confirm that with them.
