Not a formal RFE ¿? scam?
Today I received a courtesy notice letter from the Fresno, CA field office (not my local FO) saying that they have received my application for review and adjudication. It also says that the letter is NOT a formal RFE, but if I want, I can submit my medical exam or bonafides of my marriage if they have not been submitted before.
Have anyone received similar letters? Do you think is safe to send my medical? I’m worried it is a scam. I just find it a little awkward, especially because there is no update or similar notice in my online account.

I only got the work permit approved a month ago, but I not the 485 :/ I think it is just a notice that my case was transfer to the Fresno FO.
arggg I know, the wait is SO DAMN FRUSTRATING! I’m with you.

this is a new letter that a lot of people are receiving. Verify the address that’s in the letter they sent you and check to see if it matches an actual existing USCIS office. if it does you can send the documents over.

Where should your field office be then? I agree with the person above, check to see if it’s a legit address and letter. I honestly suggest to wait for an RFE. If they need additional evidence, they will send you a letter (RFE) with a deadline to submit the evidence.

@n zay thank you. that makes sense. I think I’ll also ask my doctor to give me two sealed envelops, just in case. the address actually matches with the Fresno FO, so it seems ok. thanks

I received the letter march 17 and then send my i-693 March 20. April 3 received RFE asking for my i-693😭 COURTESY LETTER from Santa Ana CA. RFE from NATIONAL CENTER in MO diferent address Personal suggestion Don't send anything wait until official RFE
