No decision after I-485 Interview (K1 AOS)
Hey all,
We will have had our AOS interview 30 days ago tomorrow. The officer was very clinical and was not in the mood for niceties. It was quite jarring as her questions were vague and difficult at times to understand what exactly she was asking. She got seemingly frustrated but clarified and we were able to answer correctly. Other than that, it was fine. Afterwards, she took about a dozen photos from our albums, and declined to look at any more evidence stating she had all that she needed and that she’d review it and we’d find out within 120 days (she emphasized this).
We did not get a letter there nor in the mail and our case status remains at “interview scheduled.” Considering the status hasn’t changed to “under review”, it makes me think it hasn’t been touched at all. I’m concerned because we didn’t get a decision on the spot, but I’ve been told it isn’t abnormal. I don’t see why she wouldn’t approve it given the evidence, the previously approved K1, and the fact that we’ve been married for almost 2 years now.
Has anyone experienced something similar?

same here ! had my interview December/2020 . my status still interview was scheduled. i did out of processing i have been like more than 80 days without decisions!!

i don’t know if this is comforting or even worse 😅 I’m sorry you are all going through this too. Field office was Newark NJ

i got a Guy with same attitude we have photos from 2.5 years on different locations and occasions.. even I told many things abt wifes family daughter mom sister etc.. he is acting like hard to believe and he took the coopy of photos. it shd go to review by his Senior I feel this guy is immature. my status is now under Review though for i130

@Sat James - Wow that’s how we felt too. I traveled internationally and even lived abroad with my partner and his family. I hope whoever reviews it isn’t as suspicious or cynical as they were

@Mel - I’m sure you will be fine! Just make sure you know all of the info you submitted and bring lots of evidence. Most people get nice officers from what I hear lol

oh O L hang in for the ride. Either you could get the card if it changes to case being reviewed then you join us in the comfy spot of the abyss. I didn't finish this thought. Everything is going to be ok.

Wait for 120 days. If you don’t hear from them, sue them (writ of mandamus).

I did my interview at Long Island office 2 weeks ago. No decision yet and my interview was not pleasant. Plus my case is kind of complicated so I’m still waiting and hoping for the best
