no biometrics appointment 7 months after filing I485
Hi, I filed concurrently employment based I485 along with the downgraded EB3 I-140 on 10/2/2020. the case is with Texas service center. my 130 and 765 were approved and I got EAD card in January 2021. My downgraded 140 was approved on March 29th 2021. But my 485 status has no change since Nov 2020 and it is still “Fingerprint fee received”. Is that normal?
I saw someone in this forum mentioned that the 485 status might not be updated even if you received the letter from USCIS for the biometrics appointment. I never received such letter and not sure if I overlooked it as I get many advertising letters and promotion letters every week and I usually directly throw them into trash can. Is there a way to check whether the biometrics appointment letter was already mailed to me or not?

yes. you can chat with Emma to see if a biometric was ever scheduled or you can call the uscis contact center number to find out so they can request a call back from a tier 2 officer so the officer will send you a copy through email. or you can also chat with a representative online through Emma

I filed concurrently i140 and i485 on feb 2020. Did biometrics on oct 2020 and got my i140 approved on April 2021. However my i485 status still shows “fingerprints taken” as of oct 2020. it’s been 8 months and it hasn’t moved :( I am in Texas and it’s Employment Based. Hope my timeline helps!
