My husband and I had a stressful year! He had to get a transplant to which he was discharged the day prior to our initial interview, Oct 5th. I went to the field office on interview day and I was told that the interview had to be rescheduled. 2 weeks after that my husband suffered post op trauma which had him in a coma for a week…he suffered from brain injury which affected his memory- improving but not enough to remember long term info. The interview was stressful for us because of all previous stress and anxiety.
All the yes and no questions were first asked, a little bit of chit chatting with the officer to get us comfortable, after which I was asked to step outside.. My husband’s the USC to which the officer asked abt 6“major” questions like, when did we meet, if and when did we have a proposal, when did I receive the ring, where we were the night prior to our wedding day. You would think these are questions we should have gotten correct however, our answers were close but not exact which was huge problem to the officer. All my answers were checked to his which the officer wasn’t pleased abt. We were separated a second time and and the officer said this would be the final questions so we should decide how it went. My husband was asked 3 more questions: what was my highest level of education and his, what gifts we bought on Christmas and when was my last paycheck.
