I suggest you check with a lawyer if whatever is going on will apply for VAWA and go from there, you might need evidence for that.

like the first person said. you need to qualify for VAWA and have evidence to provide. I would talk to a lawyer if you are sure you qualify

don't forget to gather evidence like police . counselor, psych etc ..
