my husband went to his interview without his passport he passed the interview but the officer told him that he couldn't make a decision because of that later that day he got a rfe asking for all pages of his passport. we responded via online the same day until now it just shows rfe received and not yet that was since Nov 5

The passport is long expired though, I have the scanned E copy of it just the passport data page and The Visa I came in with

his passport expired too that's why he didn't bring it but the officer insist that he have to send copies of all pages before he make the decision but every officers are not the same so u never know

so y’all sent in the RFE. for me I can’t even find it no more. like it’s lost

yea we did send it the same day because the passport was there he just thought it was not important to take it to the interview because it was expired long ago. but like I said every officer is not the same you might find one that doesn't care about your passport too much specially if u explain to him or her that it's expired and lost and u have a copy to prove that it's expired u just misplaced it they might understand and let it dead

As long as you sent it with the original application then I don’t think you need it anymore

i know right but apparently I was asked to bring “Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States.

My letter said bring the passport. I brought my old and my new passport. At the interview the officer only got my new passport. It's mandatory to bring everything that is written on the letter. Do another search in your entire house. Don't mess with Uscis. RFE can delay you case.
