N400 interview with a pending I-751
Hello guys,
I had my combo interview today, I arrived the interview Centre with my spouse, I checked in, after some minutes of waiting, I was called in by an officer, my attorney informed the officer that I have a pending I-751 and the officer replied “I know” and requested that I wait while he takes my spouse in, he went in with my spouse for almost 35mins and came back to take me in, he asked me a bunch of questions mostly on my previous marriages and my children who are step children to my present spouse after which he proceeded with the N400 interview. when he was done he said to me, you passed the N400 test but I would have to look at your documents and will revert back to you by mail if I need additional information. he saw us off. when we went out my attorney said we did very good and rated our performance 9/10. Guys, I was surprised to get a stroke interview and will advise that anyone going for N400 interview with a pending I-751 should be prepared for such scenario.
I have check my app, nothing have change and will wait patiently for a positive outcome and please if anyone have similar experience , please kindly share your experience.

I had similar experience but officer canceled my n400 right away only took i751 interview on 8th of this month she said decision can't be make right now since them nothing

@lord sam wish you all d best as you wait for your approval, I have some questions , where is your field office? was your first 2 years interview stoke or it was together ? Did they ask your spouse about your children as well? are they here in America or outside ?

@Dee Dee , my first interview wasn't a stoke interview. They did ask my spouse about my children, they are here in America.

congratulations you passed Citizenship. I was pending i-751 and passed Citizenship on Feb 2023. REF and response to REF on March. I-751 approved in 13th May. (14 months processing time).I'm still waiting for an Oath Ceremony.

no. I don't have a stoke interview. I just received N-400 notice interview. they didn't let my spouse come with me. After I answered all my Civic test, the officer asked me yes/no question in N-400 form. He continued asking about my marriage life, asked something in the past. I met The young officer, he always smiled and he looked my eyes when I was answering. Don't be worried about your case if you have enough evidences. 😉. I request to change my name so he said I need to wait for a month or longer to receive an Oath ceremony.

@lord sam I had the same situation a month ago! no updates yet! what about you? the officer didn't tell me nothing.. just " wait for something in the mail" He didn't mention nothing about my n400 ... in the web site nothing change since that day.. I am still waiting for news

@Le E I'm waiting for the N-400 decision now. still being actively reviewed after I-751 was approved. You should wait for a few days, I think you will be approved soon 😉
