N400 DENIED
Hallo everyone!
My spouse's N 400 just got denied today.What a sad day.We were hoping to upgrade our cases after naturalization.So he was petitioned for by his parent as an unmarried son of a u.s citizen and was given a visa as such.Before he went to america we got married and so they say that he was married on admission and so was not eligible for the visa he acquired.We didn't know that we were not supposed to get married before he got admitted to the states.Anyone know how we can go about this? It's really stressfull😭😭

I'm guessing there's not much you can do, he wouldn't be eligible if he was married when they started the application so I doubt he's eligible for anything if he got married before coming to the US. It will look to them I think like you were trying to circumvent the rules so that he can apply for immigration status for you as well.

very soon his GreenCard would be revoked too because he is not eligible for the GreenCard in the first place. That is misrepresenting by lying to government that he was not married. No matter how you explain it, the government would prove that he lied to them for getting the GreenCard and that is their own view. your story wouldn’t matter. Sorry to hear about that

Thanks all for the feedback.He did not lie in his application.The only mistake we made was getting married before admission.He filed for us(our two daughters and I)last year that is 5years after.We also have visiting visas and even visited him for 5months 3years back.This is very unfortunate

there is always room to appeal with a lawyer who can give a good statement of purpose and above all, put n take it to God. nothing is impossible.
