if you have a USCIS account you can check on what date is your interview, the date of the interview if you pass your citizenship they will keep you GC and schedule the ceremony

i do have account, just looked at the web , couldn’t find anywhere where i can see exact date… Just sais it’s scheduled

you have to cancel your flights or reschedule it to different dates. if you missed you interview now then you have to wait so long for next dates . finish your interview if you pass or fail you will have green on your hand. you can go after interview. I think they took your green card on oath ceremony...

i dont have to cancel … my interview is 10am and my flight is 19:00 … :) , only idk what’s up with my green card after interview

you will need a US passport to fly overseas after you become a citizen, and right now it's really hard to get an appointment for an emergency passport, you need to show proof so they can give you the passport on the same day, and sometimes after uscis schedule the appointment for the ceremony, they will change it

if you pass your citizenship test they will take your travel documents right way 😔 without travel documents can you travel though

just google it, actually you have your green card , you surrender it at the ceremony

I'm talking about I-131 travel documents not green card. green card you hand over on the day of oath ceremony

you either need your passport or Travel documents to travel outside of USA

hi, the facts are you will keep your green card till oath ceremony. the only time you will not come back with your green card that day is unless your interview and the oath ceremony is on the same day ( in some places).

that’s exactly what I find on google… so if they schedule me oat in 3-4 weeks … i keep my green cart and I’m able to leave a country and come back for oat… and as you said if it’s same day than i have to cancel flight… But whatever this is obviously more important… i was waiting 14 months

I will advise you( as my own personal opinion), to just wait out and finish with your interview and oath ceremony before traveling out just to avoid to complicate things.

I did same thing before and I got my oath ceremony after 20 days . I finish all and apply for passport...

they said oat is between one and four weeks

Actually, you can attend your interview and if pass, just ask the officer to postpone your oath ceremony to after your return to us. They will take your green card only at the oath ceremony. I did my interview a couple of days ago and I still have my GC. Just waiting for oath ceremony.
