hi everyone, just had citizenship interview today, passed tests, everything… and he told me they can not approve me on the spot, like they have to go through my file again or something like that… Any similar experience?? he told me they gonna let me know by letter what’s up!! I thought this is just formality, after i had green card for like 5 Years 😏😏😏😏

Don't worry. Is normal routine. Officer might go ask the supervisor about your case. You might get a new notification soon about your oath ceremony

huh… Thanks for cheering me up, but I really thought citizenship intw is piece of cake… So now , i still have green card, he told me i can travel… i asked … But what if I’m overseas and i got denied ?? is that affecting my green card and my status in general?

If you gonna denied overseas you might be able to reentry without issue. Cause, you have certain time to appeal the case. I suggest you, don't travel because they know when you're outside and will delay your case. Wait for the ceremony and then u travel.

miroslav, I want to believe it’s just mere formality , you will receive your oath letter . i applied in June 2021, marriage based and in Boston as well .

@miroslav, any update from USCIS ? if you travel and you got denied , they are only denying your citizenship and doesn’t affect your permanent resident
