N-400 based on marriage
Hello, I have a question; what happens if unofficial separation occurs before the N-400 interview based on marriage eligibility? How will this affect you in the future if you want to apply again based on five years rule? Please let me know if anybody knows or has knowledge about this? Thank you.

I don’t think it should be a problem since it’s unofficial and you still have all your joint documents

Divorce doesn't affect the citizenship. But I think the officer will ask for your divorce decree. Would be more practical if you get divorced after the interview.
