MY VAWA WAS APPROVED 8 MONTHS AGO But
My case with VAWA was approved in May of 2023 , in the letter they said they will mail my EAD card separately which I never received. I went ahead and applied for my green application and USCIS gave me an administrative closer letter because before my VAWA application I had a Court hearing which was postponed many times until it was temporarily closed. so I did the motion to re-calendar my previous case and it’s where I have the question . how long does the court take to re-calendar a case and get a hearing. so I have an approved VAWA but no green card until a court hearing is scheduled. help me please if you been through this.

you do not need to recalander your case ( the idea is to terminate your removal proceedings and get out of the court system), recalander means you asking the court to give you a date that will help suits you in a pending case that you await to be decided but in your instance vawa was approved therefore you have a basis to adjust , so you will filed for a motion to reopen and terminate removal proceedings with the court then go back to uscis and adjust status. you probably need a well seasoned lawyer to help you , yes usually you can get one idea left and right but your investments will pay off in a life time . you cannot proceed with uscis now because the court has jurisdiction of your case , that’s why uscis close your case .

I also had a court that was postponed 3x due to Covid. After my VAWA approval my lawyer asked DHS to join the motion to terminate my case, they joint and she filed the motion in the court and the judge wrapped up my case. That’s it! I’m no longer in court. That’s what your lawyer needs to do.

@seeker Prayerissolution this is great information and thank you . As a matter of fact, I see one of the motion is to reopen , and motion to amend written pleadings. I don’t even know how long it’s going to take . this was started in august of last year

@tired from waiting one has nothing to do with the other. UCSIS is one thing and court is another. So USCIS request my medicals in April I sent them in July and nothing changed since then. I believe they let my case aside cause I had a court. The court was terminated in November and now in January I submitted an inquire about my case. They can ask me what happen to the court, but my lawyer said that since they have my A number, if they check again they’ll see the court was terminated, then is up to them to approve my gc or call me for an interview.

@C D, what is you don’t have a case at the court, no hearing, no nothing at all, not even on the eoir, does that also mean you have to terminate anything with the court still??
C DJan 28, 2024
@ال وقت no, how are you going to terminate a court that you don’t have?!
ال إيمان Jan 29, 2024
@C D, what if I don’t know I’m in removal or not, since no case show, nothing show?
C DJan 30, 2024
@ال وقت Go tô this website https://acis.eoir.justice.gov/en/ and put your A-Number, if something pops up you’re in court, if not, you’re not.

@C D, it’s say, No case found for this A-number! what’s that supposed to mean bro?
