My professional experience utilizing Advance Parole for travel.
I would like to share my personal experience traveling with Advance Parole while my Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) I-360 and I-485 applications are still pending.
In accordance with my personal experience, I utilized Advance Parole to travel to my home country of Nigeria for a duration of three weeks. Upon my arrival at Washington Airport, I proceeded to the visitors queue where my passport and combo card were placed in an orange box. I was then instructed to follow the orange line as I was required to undergo parole. Upon reaching the designated room, I observed a significant number of individuals with combo cards who were also undergoing parole. The sole inquiries posed to us pertained to the purpose of our travels and our residential addresses. I strongly advise against allowing dissuasive counsel to deter you from traveling, as I personally encountered numerous negative opinions prior to making my own informed decision to travel.

@Emily Afo Thank you so much. Which airline did you use? I'm just having anxiety going by June next year because of the newly elected. I'm Nigerian, case pending since Nov 21
Emily AfoNov 8, 2024
Please do not be concerned. I flew with United Airlines and had no problems. However, given the recent presidential election, it would be prudent to consult a legal professional. My own case has been pending since December 2021 and has overstayed by 11 years. I would advise you to keep your status confidential and always seek legal advice and lawful community consent. They are much more knowledgeable than our people that will scar you till death. That is what I did.

I received my parole in 2023 but was so afraid to go finally went in May 2024 as I was so ready, felt right thing to do. don’t be afraid, just go and do it but be ready!!

I kindly advise you to keep your intentions private while making decisions. People tend to react fearfully to unknown situations.

@Tee Boy, bro how did you go about the UK visa, I really wanna apply and take a trip.
Tee BoyNov 10, 2024
@ال إيمان I went online to their website UKVI and filled the application form. I left like $3,000 in my account for 28days before applying. I applied a day after and scanned my documents after paying online. You will be able to schedule your biometrics appointment after payment in any of the USCIS Application Centre. After fingerprinting, they willl stamp your confirmation appointment letter for fingerprinting and you will send it with your passport to VFS office in New York. I got my visa 10 days after applying.
