it took you 8 months to get EAD/AP? any reason why it was so long?

The reason they gave is because of the pandemic. I think most person who have 2020 date took forever to get fingerprinted and work permit. Plus 8 to 12 months is the timeline

@R B are you waiting for combo or just EAD and is it renewal or initial and based on marriage or work?

@Jay C it is an initial application based on marriage. If applying for permanent residence, EAD and petition for Allien relatives is what you mean by combo, yes, that's exactly what I did. I'm still praying for God's intervention because I'm sick and tired of waiting

My interview was on the 13th and got approved on the spot. On the same day my status changed to new card being produced, to Approved and then today to, card was mailed. I'm so happy. My IO was nice and friendly but he asked alot a questions but me and my husband was prepared. We provided lots of pictures with family members, bank statements, car insurance, boarding pass, drivers license with the same address, joint lease, and affidavits. My husband was the petitioner and funny enough, he got most of the questions.

He asked my husband what's my name, DOB, my by child's name, if he gonna petition for my son who is out of the country( but his application was also filed with mine and waiting for approval), where was I living before I moved in with him, if we filed taxed together, where are my parents and what's their name, where did I work and what I did for work, when did we moved to Georgia, and he asked me why I wait so long to file, where are his parents, have I met his family. He didn't really look at the evidence he mostly questioned us. He then left in the room for a little while and them return and said that he was approving the case. The interview was not difficult because out marriage is real but be prepared with an answer for any questions cause they can ask you anything. Good luck!
