my grandma passed away! I have no way to go! my case was pending
my case was pending for 31 months, my advanced parole is expired, I did this post because I am really sad, that we wait for years to process our cases, I have been trough abuse and I suffered now, I have to suffer again far from the people I love, I know we don’t have to stay if we did not like it but at least give us an answer.
I posted couple days to see if any body can help me to understand how to expedite to go see her but now she is gone 🥲, she was a good lady!
I post here because this community may understand what I am going trough more

sorry for you loss. they already know people suffer when their cases are pending for years but it seems they don't care. may your grandma's soul rest in peace.

my 84 years old dad is sick with several conditions such as heart failure, severe arthritis and lung cancer. he keeps asking me when will I get my documents so I can take him to our home country. I keep changing the subject because I really don't know when. I am his primary caregiver and there is no way he can make that trip without me. life is not always fair. stay strong you will get through this.

sorry to hear that, i know exacly how you feel , i missed my grandfathers funeral , my brothers wedding & his 3 kids birth, cant leave usa becouse papers . waiting for 7 years now ! and i know there is so many here with case just like us or worst 😔

when my grandma passed away I didn’t even have advance parole I called and scheduled an info passed appointment for humanitarian reasons when I went to the appointment I had to prove my immediate family member really passed away I used her death certificate and a letter from the funeral home along with my birth certificate and my dads to prove she was my grandmother and they granted me an emergency advance parole on spot and I leaved the next day no problem whatsoever!!!!!!

I recently lost my father as well and I expedited my case and it was ignored so now I am going to file emergency advance parole. if you have a lawyer reach out to them. they might be able to help

@idk 🙂 🥱 my case has been pending for 2 and a half years am now scheduled for my interview and I’ve been using my regular advance parole to travel for the last year before that I received 2 emergency travel docs
