My experience with Advance Parol
I just came back to visit my family in Ecuador. Everything was perfect!!! anyways when I came back to USA they asked me if I am an American Citizen I told her that just my husband and my daughter does and I have my Advance Parol then I made the same line with my husband and daughter. The police just ask for my document travel and took my fingerprint, was super easy and no problem at all.

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 @MC please does one need a valid passport to travel alongside the AP document? I applied for asylum and my passport is expired and I need to make a new one. was wondering if it is ryt to go to the embassy of the country I am scared of to make a passport. your take on this would be greatly appreciated.

@Petit John I don’t know the answer to this. are you scared or are you “scared”? lol. I am pretty sure I applied for my new Canadian passport from the US and they shipped it to me via mail … can’t you do that?

yes you need a valid passport of course. @Petit John

@Sara F. S. I am aware of that. the worry is if renewing my passport will affect my asylum claim

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 hahaha

@Petit John I don’t know if that would mess up your asylum claim… don’t you just need a passport regardless to move around? I’m not a lawyer and don’t know anything about asylum. I’m Canadian and came here with a work visa so my experience is suuuuper limited
