case was returned to NBC
Hello All,
USCIS received my I-485 on February 7 th 2023. My case was transferred to NBC then field office is Fort Myers (non-local). Biometric is done on the time.
My category is EB3- Professional degree and priority date is Jan 2022. My case was updated as " Case Remains Pending" on September 26 th 2023.
My case became current in January 2024, and don't have any update. I did not get any RFE or interview notice.
Yesterday I chatted with customer representative via Emma and the person told me that Department of State has not issue visa numbers yet that is why it is still pending. Once the visa is assigned for my case, it will return back to field office for final review. Is it true?
Do you have the similar experience? or did you hear from someone ? waiting makes me tired everyday and I see that some people are being approved even their PD and submission date are after me for the same category. I feel like it is unfair.

very similar dates with my eb2niw case. i also became current in jan 24 after 80 days of case remains pending. so i contacted a uscis live agent to ask the status. he said that totally normal. i have to wait until i am asked for any additional info. sorry for this but we have to patiently wait.

@k c bilemiyorum yaa. RFE almadan ve benden sonra gönderen ve PD si benden sonra olanlar onaylanıyor. eylülden beri CRP durumundayim. Dün bana henüz vize numaraları verilmemiş o o yüzden ilerlemiyor dediler pfff

@Nil Nil her zaman bekleriz Bostona.. tabi yesil yesil belleriz demek daha hos olacak. @k c , RFE tehlikeli diye genel bir hukum var. enerjiyi rfe'siz hizli bir onay icin saklayalim.

This is exactly what happens in my case, NBC sent the documents to Santa Ana, CA (it is not our field office). After reviewing the documents, they sent an RFE requesting documents that had already been sent. They received and updated everything pretty quickly and then our case went to CRP in Dec 2023 (current as of Jan 24). Chatting with a life agent they told me that the case had been sent to NBC. I think it is ready to be approved, I don't think they will send it to any field office again.

Many people in our situation are being approved this month after their cases were current Jan 24. Their cases were moved from the CRP to the card was produced. We just need to be patient.

I’m on the same boat - EB3-2 PD Mar 2022, CRP status since October 2023. My case was transferred from NBC to San Jose Field Office back in July 2023, but last week Emma an agent from Emma said my case is in NBC. Filed a Tier 2 ticket for inquiry but no updates yet.

Please people never lose hope. Fight for your rights. You can sue USCIS for delay on your own, if you cannot afford an attorney, my friend did it for his delayed case, and got papers within 45 days. Do youtube search to learn more about it "writ of mandamus pro se"
