Multiple EAD expedite requests denied
I’ve filed multiple EAD expedite requests over the course of the last couple of weeks, grounded on financial loss. I’m unemployed and with a pending offer letter - waiting for the work permit.
I’ve filed via mail, phone, and Emma - all denied. I’ve also reached out to two Senators, and their requests got denied as well.
Senator got this response: “[…] we are informed that expedited processing requests based solely on loss of employment or future employment will not be granted.[…]”
And USCIS replied to me with: “We received your request for expedited processing, but we will not accommodate that request. Based on a review of your request, your case does not meet one or more of the expedite criteria or otherwise merits expedited processing. We review all expedite requests on a case-by-case basis, and we accommodate them at the sole discretion of the agency.”
EAD is pending for 7 months.

I have similar experience with the Nebraska Service Center. I’ve tried to expedite my EAD four times under financial loss and illness, but all were denied without a RFE.
Currently trying again for the second time through my local congressman.

we have the same situation, i requested 3 times got them all denied. Date of filing is May 27, ‘22. Last denial is Sept. 9. i am the principal applicant under EB3 but my dependents (2 children) got their EAD card delivered last Friday to our lawyer’s office. hopefully ours will be approved soon. FO is Albany, NY Service Center is Nebraska. i am patiently waiting. 🙏

@MG R did you got any response for denial? I had also applied for expedition request two times and got email saying we received your request and the case is under active review. no response other than that. the first request was on july and second was on august and got same email both times.

@j l no response for any specific reason, it’s just that they will not accommodate my request, they never asked for any documents to back it up.

@jannie ra after 4 months of filing i requested for expedition. after 20 days of expedition i got the email. but no final decision 😭

good you have an approved 140. when they are back issuing eb again you have good chances to get your GC. regarding your ead, may it be the case they want to interview you for your green card and are holding your ead up? boa sorte

obrigado @A L. Even tho my case got transferred, I don’t think it will be adjucated any time soon (hope I’m wrong). My AOS is EB3-3, and it’s not current 😭. PS is 07/30/21
