Medical RFE/ Case transfer
I sent my medical RFE last week and it has been delivered. I received a notification yesterday stating that my case is being transferred. Anyone has experience with their case being transferred after medical rfe is received? i’m not sure if its a good or bad sign

@Yas I same happed to me :( except for retrogresssion my case could be approved in Los Angeles field office back in the begging of August 2023:(

@Yas I unfortunately, if there was a notification that it was transferred, could be to service centre only:( they do not notify transferring to FO.

@Yas I @D A I am sorry to hear that. I agree, they do not send notification when tranferred to field office. I am current. MY PD is May ‘22.

@chris will are you ROW? cz my PD October 2022, also current since 3 months , and already so sick and tired to wait …
chris willMar 30, 2024
@DA yes I am ROW. i too am tired of waiting and get frustrated when people who applied in Oct, Nov & Dec of last year getting aproved before cases like ours.
D AMar 30, 2024
@Yas I I think they do that to keep overall monthly statics of general approval time at medium level.

@Yas I praying for that every day 🙏🏼

There’s a 7% country cap for green card issuance each fiscal year. This explains why people who are current but their cases are still pending in CRP status. case in point : you could be ROW and current with a pd of July 2022 from country X and some someone else current with a pd of Dec 2022 from country Y will be approved and issued a green card because perhaps country Y has not reached it 7% cap for the fiscal year.
There was a bill submitted in 2023 to increase the cap for family based green cards from 7 to 15% and remove the cap for employment based GC but I am not sure if it was passed by congress. here is the link
https://www.congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/house-bill/6542/all-info#:~:text=Introduced%20in%20House%20(12%2F01%2F2023)&text=This%20bill%20addresses%20issues%20concerning,for%20employment%2Dbased%20immigrant%20visas.
hope this helps clear why the backlog in CRP and people who applied recently are getting approved.

@Yas I i called USCIS today and spoke with a rep. My case is at Buffalo Field Office. I think that’s good. which office is your application being processed?
chris willApr 9, 2024
@Yas I I received notification this morning that my new card is being processed. After 348 days of waiting im happy to be almost done. Praying that you’ll hear good news soon too.
I’m not sure how long the card will take to process.
