I believe you can. you have to hurry up however and submit the application before your application is approved

you can. I applied for my wife as a deritative applicant.she came here as a F1. but you have to change her status after 90 days to enter in USA

@Alex brown what documents did they ask you? since u already had an interview , did you both attend the interview?? pls lmk in this regard .
