Perhaps you will not get your EAD and direct GC which is a good thing. 10 months after Bio or 10 months after PD?

@Samran Ali Malik - 10 months after PD. Yes, that’s possible that it will go straight to GC.

@M Erv - True that would be better of course. However, there’s no guaranteed timeline on the issuance of the Green Card after the Interview. I could still be waiting for a few months as per many others. The reason I want my EAD is that I can return to work the day I have it in my hand. I should have had it by now as per USCIS processing times.

Yeah but with GC, you don't have to worry about EAD expiration and then expediting it to get it done. A couple of months wait is better than the agony of applying for EAD and then wait for GC Interview. it's a hassle. from which city you applied?

@Samran Ali Malik - I see your point indeed. Only thing is, my previous employer has given me a year to gain Employment Authorization. After that’s up in October, I won’t have the opportunity to return to my position. So getting the EAD (which I should already have had by now) is my priority. I do understand gaining the EAD comes with the hassle of the expiration down the line.

talk to USCIS and ask them to expedite your case. provide them evidence of your employer

I don't think so they will issue ead since your interview has been scheduled. and also which city did you apply from? is it marriage based AOS Or Employment based ?

Boston cases are being processed quick. people here are waiting on GC interview in houston for almost 2 years

😌 Quick…. I guess as per the timeline. I do see Atlanta is much quicker from reading a few timelines. Some people only had to wait 4-5 months from filing.

My interview was also scheduled for next month and just yesterday, they approved my EAD after 9 months.

@g s - Good luck at your Interview tomorrow. Ask them will they speed up your Green Card as the EAD wasn’t issued.

Thank you L R for sharing this! Did you receive an interview notice in the mail? How long after it showed "Interview scheduled" on my.uscis.gov did you receive the notice? I'm also in Boston, PD early January, no EAD yet. I-765 expedite request is out, but no action on it yet. Today I noticed that my I-485 status changed to "Interview scheduled" (yay!) and I'm wondering when they'll schedule the interview.
